U.S. Women’s Soccer Star Megan Rapinoe Kneels During National Anthem In Support Of Colin Kaepernick!

Another American athlete decided not to stand during the national anthem at a sporting event. U.S. Women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe took a knee during her match Sunday night. Rapinoe knelt in solidarity with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has made a series of similar gestures, most recently kneeling during a Salute to the Military Night in San Diego. "I am disgusted with the way he has been treated and the fans and hatred he has received in all of this," Rapinoe told espnW's Julie Foudy. "It is overtly racist. 'Stay in your place, black man.' Just didn't feel right to me. We need a more substantive conversation around race relations and the way people of color are treated."
